ICF Applications
There is a wide range of applications for ICF buildings, from housing developments, one-off housing, social housing, primary care centres and care homes. As well as use on subterranean walls, basements, RC walls and swimming pools.
If you have a project and are considering using ICF then get in touch!
Mixed Use
Our team has installed ICF on mixed use developments of over 1000 units, comprising houses, apartments and commercial premises.
Large Developments
On larger development we can operate in two or three team of 3-4 people and can deliver 30 houses in under 8 weeks.
Small Developments
ICF is perfect for smaller developments of 5 to 30 units. We can construct 30 houses from foundation to roof level in 16 weeks.
Social Housing
ICF is ideally suited to social housing developments where efficiency on site and cost are the main considerations.
One Off Housing
We have installed ICF is some beautiful places including this spectacular 8,000 sq ft home in the Cotswolds.
Primary Care Centres
The speed of ICF construction is ideal for primary care units, it will deliver care to the community much quicker than traditional methods.
Care Homes
ICF is ideal for commercial buildings like care homes, as the user will benefit from reduced running and maintenance costs.
Apartments
ICF can be utilised to develop large apartment blocks up to 18m high and can be finished to suit its environment.
Rising Walls
We have installed ICF is some beautiful places including this spectacular 8,000 sq ft home in the Cotswolds.
Swimming Pools
The speed of ICF construction is ideal for primary care units, it will deliver care to the community much quicker than traditional methods.
Basements/Subterranean
ICF subterranean and basement walls are extremely quick to build and super thermally efficient.
RC Retaining Walls
If speed is the critical path, ICF is ideally suit for RC walls. They can be finished with render or clad.

ICF Blocks
ICF Structures are approved to install a wide range of ICF blocks. ICF blocks consists of two panels of expanded polystyrene insulation (EPS) separated by a reinforced plastic web. The web is extremely strong and thermally efficient.
As certified installers we can install any brand of ICF Building Blocks you choose to utilise. We are experts in ICF Construction and want to share our experiences with you to ensure you get the right product for your application.
ICF Products
The main differences between the ICF Blocks we utilise is the thickness of the core, and the thickness of the EPS insulation.
There are two main component parts to ICF building blocks
ICF Straight Block. Straight blocks are 1200mm long and 400mm high
ICF Corner Block. Corner blocks measure 412mm x 812mm and 400mm high.
ICF Block - 150 Core
150mm Core ICF Blocks are available with different thicknesses of insulation. 150 Core ICF Blocks are suitable for the vast majority of ICF applications.
ICF Block - 200 Core
200mm Core ICF Blocks are available with different thicknesses of insulation. 200 Core ICF blocks are suitbale for subterranean use, swimming pools and where pre-cast floors are being installed.
ICF Block - U-Values
Insulation thicknesses vary from 64mm, 75mm, 85mm and 100mm. Which provide U-avlues ranging from 0.3 W/(m2K) down to 0.12 W/(m2K)
ICF Renders and Finishing
Just like external wall insulation (EWI), rendering is the most common finish used on ICF houses but there is a huge range of ICF rendering and finishing options.
From textured and coloured renders, to artificial or natural brick and stone slips, to full brick and stone cladding options. There really are no limitations with ICF.
Rendering Finishes
Just as with EWI, renders for ICF can be textured, coloured or a mixed or both. When mixing renders and brick or stone slips we advise these are installed by the same approved supplier.
Brick or Stone, or Slips
ICF can be finished with a slips, or a full brick or stone facade. Thermally efficient plastic wall ties can be set in the ICF during installation.
Cladding
ICF can be covered with a range of cladding options from hard or soft wood timbers to tiles or zinc cladding. There really are no limits to how an ICF house can be finished.
